Daily Study Path
A 3rd grader does better with short wins than giant study marathons. Use these four blocks and rotate.
Tap a subject and go.
The goal is to notice patterns, remember moves, and practice the right kind of thinking.
Reading clues that matter
- Main idea: What is the passage mostly about?
- Details: Which facts prove that idea?
- Context clues: What do the words around a hard word tell you?
- Author's purpose: Is the author trying to explain, tell a story, or persuade?
When answering questions
- Read the question first.
- Go back and find proof in the passage.
- Cross out answers that do not match the text.
- Pick the answer with the best proof.
Memory Trick: P.A.W.
A fast way to slow down just enough to make a smart choice.
Writing inside RLA
- Start with a clear answer sentence.
- Add a detail from the passage.
- Check capitals and punctuation.
Math moves to remember
- Show your work. Even quick scratch work helps.
- Underline what matters. Numbers, units, and the question.
- Estimate first. Ask whether your answer seems reasonable.
